Hanabi 花火

This summer has been excetionally hot nationwide.

Hanabi is one of a event unique to summer. In this season, many people wear yukata (light cotton kimono for summer) and go to fireworks show.

Once Hanabi is set off, it goes up to the sky with a sound (hyuuuuu). Before the fireworks explodes, the sound stops. Then there is nothing in the black sky without any sound and light, which is called "Ma" in Japanese. Then the fireworks explodes with beautiful lights and big sounds.
"Ma" is considered to be very important for Japanese to enjoy fireworks, because the "Ma" gives us the moment to except beautiful Hanabi.

Still we need to be careful not to get heat stroke, it is the best season for us to enjoy beautiful Japanese summer events.

桃のつぼみが咲き始める頃。

といっても実際はかなり地域差はあります。関東地区で桃の花で有名なのは桃の花といえば山梨県笛吹市ですが、満開になるのは旧暦の桃の節句（ひな祭り）、４月６日頃になります。

過去に「桃源郷を見たい！」と思って一度行きましたが、開花の1週間前に行ってしまい見れず終い。（桜は満開でしたので、普通に花見をして帰ってきました。）
桃の花の開花は４月上旬ごろに満開になることが多いようです。

It litelally means "Peaches start to smile". We sometimes phrase "bloom" as "smile" in Japanese.
Yama Warau, literally meaning "Mountains smile" is a seasonal word of Spring, which means "The trees in mountains come to blooom."

冬眠していた生き物が目覚めて土の中から出てくるころ。
「戸をひらく」という表現が、それぞれの生き物の家から
ひょっこり顔を出すようで面白いですね。

実家の岐阜でさえも生き物が減ってしまったと思うこのごろ。
さらに都会では見つけるのが難しいのですが、
冬眠から覚めた生き物たちに出会えたら
「おはよう、春だね。」と声をかけてみてみようと思います。

It is the time when creatures awaken from their torpor.
The word literally means "Hibernating creatures open their door."
It sounds like each creatures have their own houses and opens their door to show their faces. I like the interesting way of expression.

修正で1ヶ月になる我が子も新芽のように
小さく、やわらかで、命がキラキラ輝いているよう。
人も草木も新しい命には、喜びを感じるものですね。

雨水　次候
霞始靆（かすみはじめてたなびく）
春霞が漂い始め、山の景色がぼんやりとしてくる頃。

原理的には霞も霧も同じ現象ですが、春に出る霧を霞といい、
春に霞んだ月を朧月（おぼろづき）といいます。
霞も朧月も風情のある春の言葉ですね。

実家の田舎には、町を見守るかのようにそびえる山があります。
霞がかかってぼんやりとした幻想的な山の風景も思い出し、
山が急に恋しくなりました。
日本人の生活にはいつも山が近くにあったのかもしれませんね。

Usui, second pendant :霞始靆（Kasumi Hajimete Tanabiku）
The season when it gets mistily. Though it is completely same phenomenon, there are two words for "mist" In Japanese. The one in spring is called "Kasumi" and the one in Summer is called "Kiri". Kasumi evokes the sense of spring.

農耕の準備を始める時期ともされていました。

「雨水」が含まれる暦月が旧暦においては「正月」であったとか。

現在の正月がまだ寒さが増す時期にあたりますが、

旧暦の正月は、春の兆しを感じることができるのですね。

今は年賀状で「迎春」と書いても、いまいちピンときませんが、

この時期でしたら納得がいきます。

土脉潤起（つちのしょううるおいおこる）
雨が降って土が湿り気を含む

降っていた雪が雨に変わり、雪で凍っていた土が雨で溶け、湿り気を帯びてくる頃という意味。土の中では、動植物が春に向かって動き始めるころ。
普段意識しない土の中では、春への準備が始まっていると思うと何となく嬉しくなります。
春は土の中から始まっているのですね。

【和暦セラピー】立春 [Solar term] Rissyun

2月４日で立春を迎え、ふとした時に春の訪れを感じることが多くなりましたね。
私は昨日の昼ごろ、家で換気をしていた時、部屋に入り込んだ空気から春の気配を感じて嬉しくなりました。季節の訪れはふっとした瞬間に湧いてくるものですね。

最近は新生児の赤ちゃんと一緒に家に籠りきりでしたが、少しずつお散歩を始めるようになりました。近くの公園に行ってみると、梅が見事に咲いていました。

まだまだ寒い日が続きますが、梅の鮮やかなピンク色の花を見ると、春はもうすぐだと感じます。
春一番が吹くのもこの頃。症状がある方は、そろそろ花粉症対策を始めた方がいいかもしれませんね。

Though it is very cold in Japan, 4th January was the first day of spring. From the day, we came to find hints of spring. When ventilating rooms I found a promise of spring in the middle air.

Having been home to raise children, I took a walk to get refreshed. In a nearby parks, beautiful pink plum blossoms came into bloom.
