Hanabi 花火

This summer has been excetionally hot nationwide.

Hanabi is one of a event unique to summer. In this season, many people wear yukata (light cotton kimono for summer) and go to fireworks show.

Once Hanabi is set off, it goes up to the sky with a sound (hyuuuuu). Before the fireworks explodes, the sound stops. Then there is nothing in the black sky without any sound and light, which is called "Ma" in Japanese. Then the fireworks explodes with beautiful lights and big sounds.
"Ma" is considered to be very important for Japanese to enjoy fireworks, because the "Ma" gives us the moment to except beautiful Hanabi.

Still we need to be careful not to get heat stroke, it is the best season for us to enjoy beautiful Japanese summer events.

桃のつぼみが咲き始める頃。

といっても実際はかなり地域差はあります。関東地区で桃の花で有名なのは桃の花といえば山梨県笛吹市ですが、満開になるのは旧暦の桃の節句（ひな祭り）、４月６日頃になります。

過去に「桃源郷を見たい！」と思って一度行きましたが、開花の1週間前に行ってしまい見れず終い。（桜は満開でしたので、普通に花見をして帰ってきました。）
桃の花の開花は４月上旬ごろに満開になることが多いようです。

It litelally means "Peaches start to smile". We sometimes phrase "bloom" as "smile" in Japanese.
Yama Warau, literally meaning "Mountains smile" is a seasonal word of Spring, which means "The trees in mountains come to blooom."

冬眠していた生き物が目覚めて土の中から出てくるころ。
「戸をひらく」という表現が、それぞれの生き物の家から
ひょっこり顔を出すようで面白いですね。

実家の岐阜でさえも生き物が減ってしまったと思うこのごろ。
さらに都会では見つけるのが難しいのですが、
冬眠から覚めた生き物たちに出会えたら
「おはよう、春だね。」と声をかけてみてみようと思います。

It is the time when creatures awaken from their torpor.
The word literally means "Hibernating creatures open their door."
It sounds like each creatures have their own houses and opens their door to show their faces. I like the interesting way of expression.
